The Gidun affiliate program is designed to reward partners who introduce new and returning customers to the Gidun marketplace in a transparent and responsible way. These Affiliate Terms describe how the program works, who can participate, how commissions are calculated and paid, and what rules apply to promotional activities. By applying to join or by using any affiliate tools, you agree that your participation in the program is governed by these terms. This document is intended to be clear and practical, while still acting as a binding legal agreement between you and Gidun.
The affiliate program operates globally in most countries where participation is legal and compatible with our business requirements. However, we may restrict access in certain regions due to sanctions, regulatory concerns or other compliance reasons. The program is operated by the same legal entity that operates the main Gidun marketplace, and it follows the same governing law and dispute resolution structure. These terms work together with the general Terms of Service and with other Gidun policies, and they do not replace any rights or responsibilities that you already have under those documents.
These Affiliate Terms also referred to as the Affiliate Terms are part of the broader contractual framework that applies when you use Gidun. They sit alongside the Terms of Service, the Seller Terms, the Privacy Policy and the Cookie Policy. In the event of any tension between these Affiliate Terms and the general Terms of Service, the documents should be read together. The more specific provisions in this document apply to affiliate activities, while the more general provisions in the Terms of Service continue to apply to your use of Gidun as a whole.
Your use of affiliate tools such as tracking links, dashboards and promotional assets is also subject to our content rules and to the restrictions described in the Prohibited Items document. Affiliates must not promote or encourage the sale of products or services that are banned on the marketplace. Where the Affiliate Terms are silent about a particular matter, the relevant rules in the Terms of Service or other policies normally fill the gap.
By applying to the affiliate program, by activating an affiliate account, or by generating and distributing any Gidun affiliate links or codes, you confirm that you accept these Affiliate Terms in addition to the general Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these Affiliate Terms, you must not join or continue to participate in the program. Continued use of affiliate tools after updates to these terms take effect will be treated as acceptance of the updated version, as described in the section on changes later in this document.
Where you participate in the affiliate program on behalf of a company or other legal entity, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity to these Affiliate Terms. In that case, references to you or the affiliate in this document include both you personally and that entity.
This section explains the scope of the Gidun affiliate program. It describes where the program is available, what types of transactions may generate commissions, and how these Affiliate Terms interact with local laws. The goal is to make clear that this is a global program with consistent rules, but that it must still respect legal limits in certain jurisdictions and specific situations.
The affiliate program is primarily focused on promoting legitimate products and services sold through the Gidun marketplace. It is not a tool for promoting prohibited products, for circumventing platform rules or for engaging in misleading or abusive marketing. All participation is subject to Gidun ongoing review and potential adjustment, in order to protect buyers, sellers and the integrity of the platform.
Gidun aims to make the affiliate program available to affiliates in most countries around the world. However, participation is not guaranteed in any particular place. Where sanction rules, export controls or other regulatory restrictions apply, Gidun may prevent individuals or entities from those regions from joining or continuing in the program. In some cases, Gidun may also restrict or block affiliates whose primary activities occur in jurisdictions where we do not operate for legal, technical or risk related reasons.
Affiliates themselves remain responsible for ensuring that their participation in the program is lawful under local law. This includes compliance with tax rules, advertising rules, endorsement and disclosure requirements, and privacy regulations. If local law requires stronger consumer or participant rights than these Affiliate Terms provide, those mandatory rights will prevail for the affected transactions, but the rest of these terms will remain in effect.
The affiliate program is a layer on top of the existing Gidun marketplace. Affiliate links lead users to the marketplace, where they may browse, purchase and interact in the usual way. Affiliate commissions are based on qualifying sales and related events that occur after users arrive via valid tracked referrals. Affiliates do not directly sell goods or services on behalf of Gidun, and they do not become parties to the contracts between buyers and sellers.
Sellers on Gidun must comply with the Seller Terms and other policies regardless of whether an order originated from an affiliate referral. Buyers receive the same protections and responsibilities described in the Terms of Service, Shipping Policy, Returns & Replacements and Refund Policy whether or not an affiliate was involved. Affiliates are rewarded for introducing traffic and sales, but they do not take on the duties of a seller or a logistics provider.
Eligibility rules and the joining process exist to ensure that the affiliate program is used by genuine partners who can represent Gidun responsibly. This section explains who can become an affiliate, what limitations apply based on age or location, and how the application and onboarding process generally works. The intent is to keep entry accessible while maintaining safeguards against obvious abuse and incompatible participants.
Gidun welcomes both individual affiliates and organisations, including registered businesses, content creators, publishers and community leaders. At the same time, we must ensure that affiliates have the legal capacity to enter into binding contracts and that they are not located in restricted territories.
To participate in the Gidun affiliate program, you must be at least eighteen years old or the legal age of majority in your jurisdiction, whichever is higher. By joining the program, you represent and warrant that you meet this minimum age requirement and that you have the full legal capacity to enter into binding contracts. If you do not meet these requirements, you must not apply or attempt to participate.
Where an affiliate account is created on behalf of a company or other legal entity, the individual who signs up must confirm that they are authorised to bind that entity. In that case, both the entity and the individual are responsible for compliance with these Affiliate Terms. Gidun may request evidence of identity and authority if questions arise.
Affiliates typically join the program by submitting an online application form within the Gidun affiliate interface. This form may ask for information such as your name, business name if applicable, contact details, preferred payout method, general description of your promotional activities and the main websites or channels where you plan to share Gidun links. You must answer these questions honestly and keep your information up to date.
Gidun may automatically approve many applications based on basic eligibility checks, without manual review of every single submission. Automatic approval does not mean that Gidun has endorsed or vetted your content in detail. We reserve the right to review any affiliate account later, to request additional information, or to suspend or terminate participation if we discover risks, violations or other concerns. Your participation is always subject to ongoing compliance with these Affiliate Terms.
Affiliates based in countries or regions that are subject to trade sanctions, embargoes or similar restrictions may not be allowed to use the program. Gidun may also restrict affiliates who primarily operate in or target jurisdictions where our marketplace cannot lawfully operate or where we face unacceptable risk levels. We may use technical measures, due diligence checks and other tools to enforce these restrictions.
In addition, Gidun may reject or later remove affiliates whose content, business model or prior behaviour is clearly incompatible with our values or policies. Examples include sites dedicated to illegal activity, hate content or explicit sexual content that conflicts with our marketplace rules. While Gidun does not manually approve every affiliate in advance, we retain the right to end participation at any time where necessary to protect the platform.
The affiliate account is the central place where you manage your links, view performance data and set payout preferences. This section describes your responsibilities for keeping account information accurate, how multiple sites can be managed under one account, and when Gidun may ask for verification. The quality and reliability of the affiliate program depend heavily on accurate account details and responsible account management.
Your affiliate account is personal to you or to your business entity. Sharing access or reselling accounts undermines security and makes it difficult to track responsibility. Gidun therefore treats the affiliate account as a controlled and monitored resource.
You must provide accurate and complete information when creating or updating your affiliate account. This includes your legal name, business name if any, address, contact email, payout details and any tax related information that we reasonably require. If any of this information changes, such as a change in ownership, contact email, bank account or tax status, you must update your account promptly or notify Gidun through the appropriate channels.
Providing false information or failing to keep your profile up to date can lead to delays in payouts, misdirected payments or compliance risks. Gidun may suspend or terminate affiliate accounts where the information provided is materially inaccurate, incomplete or out of date, especially if those issues persist after we request corrections.
You may promote Gidun through more than one website or social channel under a single affiliate account, as long as you disclose the main properties that you control when you join the program and update this information over time. For example, you might operate a blog, a comparison site and a social media page, all linked to the same affiliate identifier. In that case, you must ensure that each of those properties follows these Affiliate Terms and any other applicable Gidun policy.
If you acquire new sites or channels that you plan to use for promotion, you should add them to your affiliate profile. Gidun may ask you to declare which domains or profiles are associated with your affiliate activity so that we can better understand traffic sources and enforce our standards. Where we conclude that a particular site or channel is unsuitable for the program, we may require you to stop placing affiliate links there, or we may terminate your participation more broadly.
You are responsible for keeping your affiliate account access secure. This includes choosing strong passwords, not sharing login details with other people and using any additional security controls that Gidun offers. If you believe that someone else may have gained unauthorised access to your account, you must notify Gidun promptly so that we can help protect your account and commission data.
Gidun may request additional verification from affiliates at any time, particularly when risk indicators appear or when large payouts are due. Verification may include identity documents, business registrations, tax certificates or other reasonable evidence. Failure to provide requested verification information within a reasonable time can lead to delayed payouts, suspension or termination of your affiliate account. These measures help protect you, Gidun and our users from fraud and misuse.
Participating in the Gidun affiliate program is a privilege rather than a right. This section sets out general rules that apply to all affiliates, regardless of their size or marketing style. It covers expectations about honesty, compliance with laws and Gidun policies, treatment of your audience, and collaboration with Gidun as a long term partner. Affiliates are ambassadors for the marketplace and must act accordingly.
Success in the affiliate program depends on trust. Your audience needs to trust your recommendations, and Gidun needs to trust that your promotion methods align with our commitment to safe, fair and transparent commerce. These general responsibilities are therefore central to the program.
Affiliates must comply with all laws and regulations that apply to their activities, including advertising rules, consumer protection laws, privacy regulations and rules about electronic communications. For example, where local law requires that you clearly disclose when you earn commissions from links or recommendations, you must make such disclosures in a clear and conspicuous way that your audience can easily understand.
You must also comply with all relevant Gidun policies, including these Affiliate Terms, the Terms of Service, the Privacy Policy, the Cookie Policy, the Seller Terms where relevant, and the Prohibited Items rules. You must not encourage or facilitate the sale of products that violate those policies, nor may you portray such products as endorsed or permitted by Gidun. Ignorance of these policies is not an excuse for violations.
Your promotion of Gidun must be honest and not misleading. You should represent prices, offers, features and benefits accurately based on the information available on the Gidun website. You must not make false claims about guaranteed earnings, unrealistic discounts or unapproved features. Where you offer commentary, reviews or comparisons, you should do so in a way that is fair and not intentionally deceptive.
Affiliates must treat their audience with respect. This means avoiding aggressive or manipulative tactics that pressure users into purchases they do not want or that they do not understand. It also means avoiding harassment, hate speech or discriminatory content in connection with Gidun promotion. Your participation in the program should enhance user trust in Gidun, not damage it.
Gidun aims to build a long term partnership mindset with affiliates. This requires open communication. You should monitor announcements that Gidun makes about changes to the affiliate program, commission structures, promotional campaigns and compliance requirements. When we request information or feedback about your activities, you should respond in a timely and cooperative way.
We may occasionally invite affiliates to participate in special campaigns, pilots or promotional experiments. Participation in such initiatives is voluntary, but if you agree to join, you must follow any additional rules or instructions that accompany them. Your feedback can help improve the program for everyone, and we encourage constructive dialogue about both opportunities and challenges.
Accurate tracking is essential for a fair affiliate program. This section describes how tracking works on Gidun, how cookies and attribution windows are used, and what limitations apply. While we aim to track referrals reliably, no tracking system can be perfect, especially where users block cookies or use private browsing features. The rules below explain how Gidun handles these realities and how that affects commission credit.
Gidun uses a combination of cookie based and alternative tracking mechanisms to associate orders with affiliates. These mechanisms must also comply with privacy and consent rules in the regions where users reside.
The primary tracking method in the Gidun affiliate program uses cookies. When a user clicks on your affiliate link and arrives at Gidun, our systems set one or more cookies in their browser, subject to the consent rules described in the Cookie Policy. These cookies help us recognise that this user was referred by you when they later place an order. The standard tracking window is thirty days from the initial referral.
If the user completes a qualifying purchase on Gidun within that thirty day window, and no other affiliate referral has been credited under the attribution model described below, the order will be associated with your affiliate account. If the user makes multiple purchases during that window, the applicable rules will determine which orders qualify for commission and how that commission is calculated.
Gidun uses a first referral attribution model for standard affiliate tracking. This means that when a user first arrives at Gidun via a valid affiliate click and an affiliate cookie is set, that affiliate will normally receive commission on qualifying orders placed by that user within the tracking window, provided that the orders meet all other program conditions. Later affiliate clicks within the same window will not usually override the original referral.
This approach rewards affiliates for initial discovery and introduction of users to the Gidun marketplace. It also encourages affiliates to focus on genuine content and early relationship building rather than attempting to capture users at the last possible moment through intrusive tactics. Gidun may, however, run special campaigns where different attribution models apply, and in such cases the rules will be clearly described for participating affiliates.
Affiliate tracking relies on user consent in many regions. If users decline certain cookies, use privacy oriented browsers, block tracking or delete cookies before purchase, some referrals may not be recorded. Gidun cannot guarantee commission for every purchase that may have been influenced by your promotional efforts when tracking data is not available. That is a limitation of any online affiliate system.
To mitigate these limitations, Gidun may support alternative tracking methods, such as voucher codes, manual attribution or other technologies. For example, we may allow affiliates to share unique codes that customers can enter at checkout. When such codes are used, associated orders may be credited to the relevant affiliate even if cookie data is absent. These alternative methods are provided as a complement, not a replacement, to cookie based tracking and they are also subject to program rules and technical constraints.
Not every order on Gidun generates an affiliate commission. This section explains what counts as a qualifying sale, which types of products and transactions may be excluded, and how commissions are calculated on eligible orders. The objective is to reward genuine value adding referrals, while reserving the right to exclude certain categories or transactions that are impractical or inappropriate for commission.
Commissions are based on net sales values rather than gross order totals, in order to reflect actual revenue and to account for taxes, shipping and other non commissionable elements.
Affiliate commissions are calculated on net qualifying sales. Net qualifying sales generally means the total value of the products purchased in an order, excluding taxes, shipping fees, duties, handling charges, tips, and any purchases that are later refunded, charged back or identified as fraudulent. Discounts applied through Gidun promotions or coupon codes will also affect the net amount used for commission calculations.
If an order includes multiple items, only the portion of the order that represents commissionable products will be used in the calculation. Some product types, such as certain low margin items, special agreement products or restricted categories, may be excluded from commission entirely. Gidun will determine net qualifying sales in its reasonable discretion based on transaction data from the marketplace.
The program will have a default commission rate that applies to most eligible products. Gidun may also set different commission rates for specific categories, brands, campaigns or product lines. For example, certain categories may have higher rates to encourage promotion, while others may have lower rates or no commission at all due to thin margins, high risk, or other considerations.
Gidun may change commission rates on a prospective basis by updating program documentation or by notifying affiliates through the dashboard or email. Changes will not retroactively affect commissions already earned on completed transactions, but future referrals and sales may generate different amounts. Affiliates are responsible for monitoring such announcements and adjusting their promotional strategies accordingly.
Affiliates are not allowed to earn commissions on their own personal purchases. You also may not earn commissions on purchases made by close family or household members where you have a direct controlling relationship with the payment method or the account. These restrictions exist to prevent abuse and to focus rewards on genuine third party referrals rather than self directed benefits.
By contrast, commissions may be earned on orders by returning Gidun users when a valid tracked click leads to a purchase, unless a specific campaign explicitly states otherwise. In other words, you can earn commission when you successfully bring an existing customer back to Gidun through your promotional efforts, as long as the visit and purchase are captured under the standard tracking and attribution rules and all other conditions for qualifying sales are met.
If an order that generated commission is later refunded, partially refunded, cancelled, subject to a chargeback or found to be fraudulent, Gidun may reverse the associated commission in whole or in part. This may occur after commissions have already appeared in your account, and it may reduce your payable balance or create a negative balance. The same principle applies when orders are adjusted for reporting errors or pricing corrections.
Gidun may also withhold commissions on transactions that are under investigation for suspected fraud or abuse. Where an investigation concludes that an order is legitimate, commissions may be reinstated. Where an investigation confirms that orders were not valid, Gidun may permanently reverse commission and may also take further action against the affiliate if there is evidence of involvement in the misconduct.
This section explains how and when you are paid, what thresholds apply before payouts can be issued, and in which currency payments are made. The goal is to ensure that commissions move from tracked earnings to actual payouts in an orderly and predictable manner, while allowing enough time for returns and disputes to be processed.
Gidun uses electronic payment methods for affiliate payouts wherever possible. This approach is more efficient and reliable than manual methods and allows affiliates around the world to receive payments in a timely fashion once conditions are met.
Affiliate commissions that have passed all eligibility checks and that are no longer subject to a holding period will be paid out on a regular schedule. Gidun currently aims to process affiliate payouts once per month for approved commissions. The exact payout date each month may vary based on technical and operational factors, but we will follow a reasonably consistent cycle so affiliates can plan.
To allow time for returns, chargebacks and basic fraud checks, commissions are subject to a holding period before they become payable. The standard holding period is thirty days from the date of the order. During this time, commissions may appear as pending in your dashboard. Once the holding period has passed and the related orders show no disqualifying events, the commissions may move to an approved status and count toward the payout threshold.
To avoid excessive transaction costs and administrative overhead, Gidun uses a minimum payout threshold. You must accumulate at least the equivalent of fifty United States dollars in approved commissions before a payout will be issued. If your approved balance is below this threshold at the time of a scheduled payout, the amount will roll over to the next period until the threshold is reached.
If your account incurs commission reversals that exceed your approved commissions, your affiliate balance may become negative. In that case, future commissions will first be applied to reduce the negative balance before any additional amounts can be paid to you. Gidun may also offset negative affiliate balances against any other amounts that we owe you, where legally permitted.
Gidun pays affiliate commissions primarily through electronic methods such as PayPal, bank transfer or other online payment services, often using the same or similar payout rails as we use for sellers. The available methods may depend on your country of residence, local regulations and technical integrations. You are responsible for ensuring that your payout details are accurate and that you are able to receive funds through the chosen method.
The default payout currency for the affiliate program is United States dollars. If your bank or payment provider operates in another currency, the provider will perform the currency conversion according to its own rates and rules. Any transfer or receiving fees charged by the payment provider are generally your responsibility, unless Gidun explicitly agrees to cover certain fees for specific promotions or campaigns. Gidun is not responsible for delays or issues caused by external payment processors once a payout has been initiated from our systems.
Affiliates have many options for how they promote Gidun, including content sites, social media, email newsletters and other channels. This section describes acceptable promotion methods and sets boundaries to ensure that promotion remains fair, transparent and aligned with our values. Creative and authentic marketing is encouraged, but certain channels and tactics are either restricted or prohibited to protect users and Gidun reputation.
Your choice of channels should reflect your genuine strengths and audience connections. The most successful affiliates tend to be those who integrate Gidun recommendations naturally into useful, trustworthy content rather than relying solely on aggressive advertising.
You may promote Gidun using websites, blogs, social media pages, video channels, online communities and similar platforms that you own or control, provided that these channels comply with applicable laws and these Affiliate Terms. Content marketing that offers real value, such as reviews, tutorials, guides and curated collections, is particularly welcome. You may also include affiliate links in email newsletters sent to subscribers who have consented to receive marketing messages from you.
You may share affiliate links in messaging platforms or chat communities that permit such activity, but you must respect the rules of each platform and community. Where relevant, you should disclose that you may earn commissions from qualifying purchases when users follow your links. Your promotional materials should present Gidun in a respectful and accurate way and should avoid implying that you are an official part of Gidun unless we have explicitly granted you such status.
In many jurisdictions, affiliates are required by law to disclose that they receive compensation from the products or services they recommend. Even where such laws are not explicit, Gidun expects affiliates to be transparent with their audiences. You should clearly state when you use affiliate links or when you receive commissions or benefits from promoting Gidun. These disclosures should be easy to see and understand, and they should not be hidden in obscure places or ambiguous language.
For example, you might tell your audience that you may earn a commission if they purchase through your link, while ensuring that this statement is close to the link itself and written in plain language. Disclosures should be made in your own voice, but they must be truthful and not misleading. Inadequate or deceptive disclosure can harm user trust and may result in suspension from the program.
If you promote Gidun via email or similar direct communication channels, you must comply with all applicable anti spam laws and regulations. This generally means you must send marketing messages only to recipients who have given valid consent, provide clear ways for recipients to opt out, and include accurate sender information. You must not use purchased email lists, harvested addresses or other methods that create unsolicited or unwanted communications.
Gidun does not permit affiliates to impersonate Gidun staff in emails or to use email addresses or display names that are likely to confuse recipients about who is sending the message. You must not suggest that emails originate from Gidun or that they are official notices unless we have expressly authorised a specific campaign. All email content related to Gidun must make it clear that it is sent by you as an independent affiliate.
To protect users and maintain a healthy marketplace, Gidun prohibits certain affiliate activities and traffic sources. This section explains what you must not do and outlines the consequences of engaging in prohibited behaviour. Violations can lead to commission reversals, suspension or termination of your affiliate account and, in serious cases, additional legal action.
These rules apply regardless of how effective a particular tactic might appear to be in generating clicks or sales. Short term gains from abusive methods are not acceptable if they damage trust or violate the law.
Affiliate links must not be placed on websites or channels that primarily feature illegal content, hate or extremist content, explicit sexual content that conflicts with Gidun rules, graphic violence or other material that would obviously breach our marketplace standards. Affiliates must not use Gidun links to promote or normalise prohibited products or services as defined in the Prohibited Items document.
Coupon and deal sites are not eligible to participate in the Gidun affiliate program at this time. This means that you may not operate as an affiliate whose primary model is publishing coupon codes, automatic deal scraping or similar activities. Gidun may reconsider this position in the future, but until further notice, coupon and deal platforms must not join or remain in the program.
Affiliates may not bid on Gidun brand names or confusingly similar terms in paid search advertisements on major search engines or other ad networks. You must not use Gidun trademarks in search ad titles or display URLs in a way that suggests you are Gidun itself. You also may not register domain names that are confusingly similar to Gidun brand or that are likely to cause users to think they are visiting an official Gidun site when they are not.
Impersonation of Gidun is strictly forbidden. You must not create social media accounts, pages or groups that present themselves as official Gidun properties unless you have written permission. You must not design websites that closely mimic the look and feel of Gidun with the intention of deceiving users. It must be clear that you are an independent affiliate, not an employee or representative of Gidun.
Affiliates may not use spam tactics to generate clicks or sales. This includes sending unsolicited mass emails, posting affiliate links repeatedly in unrelated forums or comments sections, or using automated scripts to spread links in ways that annoy or mislead users. You must respect the rules and expectations of every platform where you share content.
You may not automatically redirect users to Gidun without a genuine click. For example, you may not install toolbars, browser extensions or other software that silently re routes traffic through affiliate links. You may also not use scripts that change existing links on websites you do not control into affiliate links without clear permission. Framing, masking or altering Gidun pages in ways that hide the Gidun brand or misrepresent the source of content is likewise prohibited. Any such manipulation is grounds for immediate termination from the program and possible forfeiture of commissions arising from those methods.
Gidun owns valuable intellectual property including its name, logo, design elements and marketing assets. This section sets out how affiliates may and may not use those materials in their promotional work. The aim is to allow affiliates to represent Gidun effectively while ensuring that the brand remains consistent and protected.
Use of Gidun intellectual property is a limited privilege. It does not transfer any ownership rights and it may be withdrawn at any time if we believe it is being misused or if we change our branding guidelines.
All rights in and to the Gidun name, logo and other trademarks, as well as site design, text, graphics and other content, remain the property of Gidun or its licensors. Nothing in these Affiliate Terms grants you any ownership interest in this intellectual property. You are permitted to use certain Gidun names and logos solely for the purpose of promoting the Gidun marketplace under these terms and any brand guidance that we may publish.
You may not register or seek to register any trademark, domain name or social handle that includes the Gidun name or any confusingly similar variation. You may not claim or imply ownership of Gidun designs, marketing materials or product descriptions. If you wish to use any specific creative assets beyond standard approved materials, you must obtain permission from Gidun in advance.
Subject to these Affiliate Terms, Gidun grants you a limited, revocable, non exclusive licence to display Gidun trademarks and approved promotional materials solely in connection with your participation in the affiliate program. This licence exists only for as long as you are an active affiliate in good standing. It may be revoked at any time at Gidun discretion, with or without notice, if we believe that continued use is inappropriate or harmful.
You must follow any brand usage guidelines that Gidun makes available, including rules about logo appearance, spacing, colour and context. You may not modify Gidun logos or create composite marks that combine Gidun branding with your own in a way that suggests a joint venture or formal endorsement. If your account is suspended or terminated, you must immediately stop all use of Gidun trademarks and promotional materials and remove them from your sites, channels and other media where reasonably possible.
From time to time, Gidun may wish to highlight affiliate generated content such as reviews, articles, social posts or creative campaigns that feature Gidun. By participating in the affiliate program, you grant Gidun a non exclusive, royalty free right to reference or quote publicly shared affiliate content for marketing and educational purposes related to the affiliate program, provided that we credit you in a reasonable way where appropriate.
This permission does not obligate Gidun to use any specific affiliate content, nor does it prevent you from using your own content in other ways. If you prefer that certain content not be referenced by Gidun, you may contact us to discuss reasonable accommodations, although we cannot guarantee that all requests will be granted in every context.
Gidun must be able to review affiliate activities to ensure that they comply with these Affiliate Terms and with applicable laws. This section explains how compliance reviews and audits may work, what information Gidun may request and what happens when investigations identify problems. The objective is to protect the program from abuse while giving affiliates reasonable expectations about how monitoring occurs.
Most affiliates will never experience a formal audit or investigation. However, where anomalies appear in data, where complaints arise or where risk patterns emerge, Gidun may need to look more closely at specific accounts and traffic sources.
Gidun uses automated systems to monitor affiliate performance, traffic patterns, conversion rates and other key metrics. These systems help identify both positive trends and potential issues. For example, sudden spikes in traffic from unusual locations, unrealistically high conversion rates or frequent chargebacks may signal problems that require further investigation. Monitoring also helps us maintain program quality and identify opportunities to improve tools and support.
By participating in the affiliate program, you consent to Gidun collection and analysis of data related to your affiliate activities, consistent with the Privacy Policy and the Cookie Policy. We use this data to operate the program, pay commissions, enforce policies and refine our offerings. Data is handled according to applicable privacy laws and internal security practices.
If we observe activity that raises concerns, or if we receive credible complaints about your affiliate practices, we may contact you to request additional information. This could include details about your websites and channels, explanation of your promotional methods, copies of relevant communications with your audience, or evidence of compliance with local laws and platform rules. We may also ask for identity or business documentation if that has not already been provided or if we need updated versions.
You must respond to such requests honestly and within a reasonable time. Failure to cooperate with a compliance request may itself be grounds for suspension or termination of your affiliate account, regardless of whether the original concern turns out to be well founded. Gidun will use reasonable judgment in assessing the information you provide and in deciding whether further action is required.
After an investigation, Gidun may decide that no further action is necessary, or we may identify patterns of behaviour that violate these Affiliate Terms or other policies. Possible outcomes include warnings, required changes to your promotional practices, temporary suspension of affiliate tracking, reversal of commissions, longer payout holds or permanent termination from the program.
In cases involving intentional fraud, clear abuse or serious legal violations, Gidun may notify relevant authorities or pursue additional remedies. We may also share aggregated or anonymised information with other internal teams to help prevent similar issues elsewhere on the platform. We aim to be fair and proportionate in our responses, but the protection of users and the integrity of the marketplace will always be a priority.
Your participation in the Gidun affiliate program does not have a fixed end date. It continues until either you or Gidun chooses to end it. This section describes how the term of the relationship operates, when suspension may occur, and what happens upon termination, including the treatment of outstanding commissions and the ongoing obligations that remain.
While Gidun values stable, long term relationships with affiliates, we must retain the ability to end participation when necessary to protect the program, comply with law or adjust our business strategy.
Once your affiliate account is created and activated, your participation in the program continues on an ongoing basis until it is terminated as described below. You do not need to renew your membership periodically, but you must remain in compliance with these Affiliate Terms and all other relevant policies. Changes in commission rates, tracking rules or similar program features do not by themselves terminate your participation, although they may influence your decision about continued involvement.
If at any point you no longer wish to be an affiliate, you may close your affiliate account through the available tools or by contacting Gidun support. Upon closure, your ability to generate new commissions will end, although we may still pay commissions on qualifying sales that occurred before the termination date, as described in the next subsection.
Gidun may suspend or terminate your participation in the affiliate program at any time, with or without cause. Examples of situations where we may take such action include but are not limited to suspected fraud, repeated policy violations, non compliance with legal requirements, unacceptable traffic sources, failure to respond to compliance requests or extended inactivity. In some cases, we may choose to suspend your account temporarily while we investigate, before making a final decision about termination.
When we terminate an affiliate in good standing without cause, we will normally pay any legitimately earned commissions that have reached the approved and payable stage, subject to the holding period and minimum threshold. When we terminate for cause, particularly in connection with fraud or serious violations, we may withhold or reverse commissions connected to the misconduct, to the maximum extent permitted by law and these Affiliate Terms. Decisions about suspension and termination are made in Gidun reasonable discretion and may not always be reversible.
Upon termination of your participation in the affiliate program, regardless of the reason, you must immediately stop using Gidun affiliate links and promotional codes and remove them from your websites and channels where reasonably possible. You must also cease all use of Gidun trademarks, logos and promotional materials and refrain from representing yourself as an active Gidun affiliate. Gidun may disable your tracking links and close your access to the affiliate dashboard.
Termination does not automatically cancel any existing obligations you may have under these Affiliate Terms, such as indemnity commitments or confidentiality expectations. Likewise, any limitations of liability and other protective provisions remain in effect to the extent necessary to resolve or manage issues that arose during your participation. If you later wish to return to the program, you may be required to submit a new application, and Gidun is under no obligation to accept that application.
The affiliate program involves various risks and dependencies, including technology platforms, payment providers, legal requirements and user behaviour. This section clarifies how responsibility is allocated between you and Gidun, and it sets expectations about the limits of our obligations. It also describes your indemnity obligations if your actions cause harm or legal claims.
These provisions are intended to align with the general framework in the Terms of Service, while focusing specifically on matters related to affiliate activities. They do not aim to remove mandatory rights you may have under law, but they do explain where Gidun cannot reasonably take responsibility.
The Gidun affiliate program, including tracking technology, dashboards, reporting and related tools, is provided on an as is and as available basis. While we aim to maintain a reliable and accurate system, we cannot guarantee that tracking will always work perfectly, that reports will always be free from errors, or that all systems will be available without interruption. Technical issues, third party platform changes and other factors may affect the program from time to time.
Gidun will take reasonable steps to address significant technical problems when we become aware of them. However, we are not responsible for losses that you may suffer as a result of periods when tracking is impaired, when reporting is delayed, or when specific affiliate links fail due to factors beyond our reasonable control. Participation in the program carries inherent uncertainties, and you accept these risks when you choose to act as an affiliate.
To the extent permitted by law, Gidun total liability to you in connection with the affiliate program is limited to the total amount of commissions paid or payable to you by Gidun for the twelve month period immediately preceding the event that gave rise to the claim. Gidun is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, nor for loss of profits, loss of data or reputational damage arising from your participation in the program.
Some jurisdictions do not permit limitations of liability to the same extent as others. Where local law requires a higher level of protection for you, the limitation in this subsection will apply only to the maximum extent allowed by that law. Nothing in these Affiliate Terms is intended to exclude or limit liability for matters where such exclusion or limitation would be unlawful.
You agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless Gidun and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees and agents from and against any claims, losses, damages, costs and expenses including reasonable legal fees that arise from or relate to your participation in the affiliate program. This includes claims based on your promotional activities, your use of Gidun trademarks and materials, your breach of these Affiliate Terms, or your violation of any law or regulation.
If a third party brings a claim against Gidun that appears to involve your actions, we may require you to assist in the defence of that claim, including by providing relevant information and cooperating in good faith. Gidun may also choose to manage the defence directly and to settle or resolve claims as we see fit, while still holding you responsible for costs and liabilities that result from your conduct. This indemnity provision continues to apply even after your participation in the affiliate program ends.
Disputes can arise in any business relationship, including affiliate partnerships. This section explains which law governs these Affiliate Terms, how disputes should be raised and resolved, and how certain interpretation issues are handled. The aim is to provide a predictable structure for addressing disagreements while encouraging informal resolution when possible.
These Affiliate Terms follow the same governing law and dispute resolution structure as the general Terms of Service, in order to keep the legal environment consistent across your interactions with Gidun.
These Affiliate Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario in Canada, without regard to conflict of laws principles that might lead to different laws being applied. To the extent any court involvement is necessary, you agree, subject to any mandatory consumer protection provisions, to submit to the jurisdiction of the courts located in Ontario, Canada for matters arising under or related to these Affiliate Terms and your participation in the affiliate program.
Where the Terms of Service provide for arbitration or other specific dispute resolution processes, those provisions are incorporated by reference into these Affiliate Terms. That means that disputes related to the affiliate program may be subject to the same processes, time limits and waivers described in the Terms of Service, including any limitations on class actions or similar representative proceedings, to the extent permitted by law.
Before initiating formal legal proceedings or arbitration, you agree to first attempt to resolve any issue related to the affiliate program informally through Gidun support channels. This involves contacting us with a clear description of the problem, any relevant data or documentation, and a proposed resolution where appropriate. Gidun will review your submission in good faith and attempt to respond within a reasonable time.
If informal efforts do not resolve the issue, the parties may then proceed to any dispute resolution steps described in the Terms of Service. Nothing in this process prevents either party from seeking urgent relief where necessary to protect legal rights, but in most cases, early communication and mutual understanding can prevent disputes from escalating.
If any provision of these Affiliate Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable under applicable law, the remainder of the terms will continue in full force and effect. The invalid or unenforceable provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable while preserving its original purpose as much as possible. If such modification is not possible, the provision will be severed, and the remaining provisions will be interpreted as if the invalid portion had never been included.

Over time, Gidun may adjust the affiliate program and these Affiliate Terms to reflect changes in law, technology, user behaviour or business needs. This final section explains how updates are made, how you will be informed and how you can contact Gidun with questions. Our aim is to provide reasonable notice and transparency so that you can decide whether to continue participating under any new conditions.
By staying informed and engaging constructively with Gidun, you can help shape a program that continues to create value for you, for the marketplace and for the users you introduce.
Gidun may modify these Affiliate Terms from time to time. When we make significant changes, we will update the date at the top of this document and may provide additional notice through the affiliate dashboard, email or other appropriate channels. In some cases, we may also highlight specific changes that are especially important, such as adjustments to commission structures, tracking rules or eligibility criteria.
Unless otherwise stated, changes will apply prospectively, meaning they will govern your participation from the effective date forward. Previously earned commissions for completed qualifying transactions will continue to be governed by the terms that were in effect at the time the transactions occurred, except where retroactive application is required by law or where a change is purely administrative and does not affect substantive rights.
By continuing to use the affiliate program after updated terms have taken effect, you agree to be bound by the new version of the Affiliate Terms. If you do not agree with a change, your option is to stop using affiliate links and tools and to close your affiliate account. We encourage you to review the Affiliate Terms periodically, especially when we notify you of updates, so that you remain aware of your rights and responsibilities.
If there is a conflict between earlier and later versions of these terms, the most recent version will control for activities that take place after its effective date. It is your responsibility to ensure that any partners, employees or collaborators who assist with your affiliate operations are also aware of and follow the current rules.
