Affiliate Promotion rules 9 min read

Use email, social, and content channels responsibly

Promote through email, social, video, blogs, or communities without creating spam or policy problems.

Channel rules still apply

Gidun affiliate approval does not override the rules of email providers, social platforms, advertising networks, or local laws. You are responsible for how you collect audiences, send messages, disclose affiliate links, and represent offers.

High-quality promotion is targeted and useful. Spam, fake urgency, hidden links, misleading redirects, and unsolicited mass messaging can damage customers, sellers, and your affiliate account.

Responsible channel practices

  1. Email only people who gave appropriate permission to receive your messages.
  2. Include unsubscribe options and identify yourself clearly when required.
  3. On social and video platforms, disclose affiliate links in a visible way.
  4. Do not impersonate Gidun, sellers, support staff, or official accounts.
  5. Avoid link cloaking that hides the destination or strips tracking in unreliable ways.
  6. Keep screenshots and campaign examples if support asks about traffic quality.

If a campaign is flagged

Pause the campaign, preserve the creative, landing page, list source, and link used, then contact support with a plain explanation. The faster you can show what was sent and to whom, the faster the review can be handled.

  • Audience permission is clear.
  • Disclosure is visible.
  • Message content matches the linked page.
  • Unsubscribe or opt-out is honored where required.
